BBC Young Reporter are holding a series of online events on Tuesday 24th November for pupils aged 16-18 who may be interested in learning more about digital careers or a career with the BBC. Before you can join any of these sessions you must register with BBC Young Reporter via this link:

Creating A Sociable Gaming Environment with Claire Lim 10:00am – 10:45am

BBC’s ‘The Social’ presenter and Twitch Partner, Claire Lim, shares her ideas about creating a sociable gaming environment and how publishers can create unique, interactive environments for gamers that not only connect but also entertain.

Lunch time chat – Working in the Gaming Industry 12:15pm – 1.00pm

If you want to know more about the range of jobs and how to get into the industry, this session is for you. The panel will be answering your questions and share their insider knowledge. We’ll have guests coming from a variety of backgrounds and doing very different roles, taking your questions.

Video games creation with Aardman Animations 2.00pm – 2.45pm

From pre-production to release, join Neil Pymer from Aardman Animations as he talks about the different stages of games creation. Plus, he shows you how you can get started and create your own games at home.
Aardman Animations is the home of Wallace and Gromit and creators of various games including BBC iReporter and Dr Who Don’t Blink.

Career Talks with the BBC

There will also be an opportunity to join one of two Zoom webinars, each with different BBC colleagues, who will be able to answer any of your questions. They will be held on Mon 30th Nov, 10.15 – 11.00 and Wed 9th Dec, 2.00 – 2.45.
