Year Group Assemblies this week have marked Holocaust Memorial Day. In assemblies we have talked about the importance of challenging prejudice and discrimination whatever form that takes and this can be related to our school values of compassion, respect and responsibility.
If your child still has a DTP / menACWY consent form at home please ensure these are returned to the office by tomorrow. The nursing team are in school tomorrow and will be collecting these. This immunisation programme will be taking place on the 9th and 10th March.
Our next Virtual Pines Session with Thriving Families and Alison Footitt from the National Autistic Society is on Thursday 10th February 2022.
Many children and young people have a complex profile which does not fit neatly within one diagnosis. This could be autism plus ADHD, autism with learning disability or any combination of both diagnosed and non-diagnosed differences.
Today’s session is facilitated by Rachael Geddes (Autism Practitioner) and Lesley Soffe (Advanced ADHD Nurse Practitioner) and will look at both understanding and better supporting those with a complex presentation.
The session will run on Microsoft Teams, and is easy to join from a computer or mobile device, you don’t need to speak if you would sooner not, or have your camera on.
School will be open as normal tomorrow.
The Highland Council School Closure information telephone number is 0800 564 2272 and the PIN number 041100.
Due to a complete power failure we will have to close the school at interval today. Pupils will be sent home as safely as possible.
