Inverness Royal Academy students’ achievements have again been recognized in another overall good set of exam results. Congratulations to all of our students who achieved what they hoped for or better in their exam results. We were able to help a number of students yesterday by helping to confirm university places and resolve other queries.
Remember that if you are disappointed with your results, then you should take full advantage of the support and advice available from our colleagues at Skills Development Scotland. Please phone their helpline on 0808 100 8000.
Please also remember that, whatever your results, they do not define you – there are so many more opportunities and pathways you can take (look at #nowrongpathway on Twitter).
There were some particularly strong results in S5 this year and some notable individual performances. Six students received 5 As at Higher: Ellen Lindsay; Roddy MacGregor; Morven Rothwell; Ishie MacDonald; Emma MacBride and Katie Gregson-MacLeod.
In addition, a further four students narrowly missed achieving 5 As and achieved 4 As and 1 B: Victoria Rozewski; Rosie Flegg; Fergus Wilson and Eve Morrison.
At Advanced Higher level both Kirsty Fraser and Ross Clark achieved A grades in their subjects.
There were also tremendous individual performances in S4. Fourteen pupils in S4 received 7 As at National 5 level: Jacob Beling; Aileen Brechin; Amy Colliar; Joshua David; Caitie-Mary Dundas; Roxana Elgar; Liza Fernandes; Lanna Fitzgerald; Louise Gordon; Georgia Ireland; Hannah Luke; Gordon Manson; Rachel Morrison and Alasdair Raynor.
In addition, a further nine students received 6 As at National 5 level: Brodie Bell; Linus Brulisaner; Jamie Goudie; Karolina Kunicka; Alice Lloyd; Mia MacDermid; Eilidh MacPhee (who also achieved an A in Higher Ghaidhlig); Calum McDermott and Iona Veauvy(who also achieved an A in Higher French).
It is important to recognise the effort and hard work of all of these students and how they personify our school values. Please remember, however, that none of these achievements would have been possible without the support of parents, school staff and a range of school partners. We hope students will take a moment to say thank you to their families and to their teachers and other school staff.
Well done and thank you all!
