Our very first Young Artists Club's Artwork of the Week is this beautiful painting by S1 pupil Isobel Simpson!
Isobel worked hard on this painting over a few sessions of the club, having finished it earlier this week. Well done, Isobel!

Yesterday, Armistice Day, the school observed a two minute silence The Last Post was played on the trumpet by Daniel Finigan and ending the 2 minutes with the pipes played by Mali MacLennan a rendition of Flowers of the Forest alongside our school vice captains Robbie, Charlie and Alice.
Yesterday senior pupils from our Geography Department took part in the Mock COP30 event held in the Council Chambers, coinciding with the real COP30 taking place this week in Brazil. Representing Indigenous Peoples, our pupils made thoughtful and well-informed contributions to the discussions. It was inspiring to see so many young people from across the Highlands engaging seriously with global climate issues and the challenges of international negotiation.
Congratulations to registration class 3N2 for being the most organised registration class following the sponsored walk. They enjoyed an afternoon of competitive go-karting! Extended congratulations to Robert MacBain, Adam Hayton and Mr Kemp for the 3 fastest times on the day! See our drivers in action by clicking here
Our school captains, Elle and Alastair, joined Mr Adamson in attending two Remembrance Services over the past three days. On Sunday, they laid a wreath at the Inverness War Memorial, and today they honoured the occasion once again at Midmills — the original home of Inverness Royal Academy. We commend Elle and Alastair for representing our school with such respect and dignity, and we thank all pupils who observed the two minutes’ silence in remembrance today.
Lest we forget.
The next parent council meeting will take place on Tuesday 18th November 2025 at 7pm
Ghabh Màili agus Eilidh ÀS6 pàirt anns an Deasbad Nàiseanta ann an Steòrnabhagh an t-seachdain-sa. Bha iad an sàs ann an dà chuairt, aon an aghaidh Greenfaulds a’ deasbad “Tha rannsachadh fànais na sgrios airgid”, agus an uair sin an aghaidh Àrd-sgoil an Òbain ag argamaid “Tha misneachd nas cudromaiche na foghlam san là th’ ann”.
Màili and Eilidh S6 represented Inverness Royal Academy at the Deasbad in Stornoway this week. They came up against Greenfaulds in the first round debating the value of space research, and took on Oban in the second round arguing that confidence is more important than education. Their first round debate can be seen here - https://fb.watch/DdDhaOESG6/ and a write up from Màili and Eilidh will appear shortly on the Gaelic blog - https://gaidhliginbhirnis.wordpress.com/ Despite not progressing to the third round, the girls can be very proud of their efforts. ’S math a rinn sibh!
