  • Young Speaker's Scotland

    This week IRA hosted schools from across Highland for a debating workshop by Young Speaker’s Scotland and the first ever Highland round of the Scottish Schools’ Mace Debating Competition. The pupils debated motions including: “In a world where superheroes exist, This House Would require them to register with the government” and “This House Supports the rise of music streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music”. The standard of debating was really high and all the pupils performed brilliantly.

  • Busy Week of Netball...

    Busy week of netball last week with Inverness Royal Academy making their debut in the Scottish Schools Cup. The seniors travelled to Gordonstoun School for a tough tie but improved throughout the game and took away a lot of learning. Congratulations to Freya who was our POM.

    On Friday the S1s and senior coaches Beth, Alba and Robbie met Thurso High and Fortrose Academy at Alness. They played really well together for their first games, trying out different positions and learning more about the game. Unfortunately no wins but close games.

    Looking forward to hosting Wick seniors next week!
