British Triathlon Inter Regional Championships

September 2025

A massive well done to Iyla Souter (S1) and Ruairidh Stirling (S6) who were representing Scotland this weekend at the British Triathlon Inter Regional Championships

On Saturday, Iyla qualified from her heat in the morning for the A Final in the Tristar 2 category (300m swim + 1.3km run) and finished an impressive 14th in the UK out of 50 athletes.

Her strong performance earned her a place in Scotland’s A Team Relay on Sunday, where she raced a 225m swim, 2.4km bike, and 1.3km run. The team secured 8th place overall in a highly competitive field. Well done Iyla!

Ruairidh had just one race on Saturday afternoon, the Grand Final of British Super Series & British Elite Championships; in a race with 74 Junior & Youth B starters, 52 finished mainly due to a lot of bike crashes on a wet track, he finished 34th overall and 15th Youth B. A fantastic achievement

 

Silver Young Squash Volunteering Champions Award!

Katie dedicated an incredible 50 hours at Inverness Tennis & Squash Club, supporting holiday camps over the summer. Your commitment and enthusiasm are inspiring, Katie and we can’t wait to cheer you on as you go for Gold!

Rowing Success!

August 2025

Five of our pupils travelled to Aberdeen with Inverness Rowing Club on Saturday to compete in the Aberdeen Sprint Rowing Regatta. They all did brilliantly with some very close racing

Medals were won in different categories:

Matthew McManus - J13 single scull and J13 double scull (with Austin Grant - Fortrose Academy)

Hannah McManus - J16 single scull

Rosie Murdoch - J16 double scull (with Iona Lambie - Fortrose Academy)

Thomas Davidson - Cox: Mixed Four

Tyla Watson - Swimming

Well done to Tyla Watson, S4, who achieved an outstanding result at the Scottish Summer National Swim Meet in Aberdeen at the weekend. She was competing in the Women's 15 years 50m Butterfly and won a silver medal
