DTP/MenACWY vaccine consent packs are being issued to parents/carers of some S4-S6 pupils who are still to have them. Please return these to school within 7 days. Thank you.
It has been great to see all pupils back in school for what will be a very busy term. We have outlined some key dates for you below;
In-Service dates and May holiday
May Day Holiday – Monday 3rd May.
This term there are additional in-service dates to support schools with SQA procedures. The in-service dates are:
Thursday 6th May
Monday 7th June
Tuesday 8th June
Our SQA assessment window for senior phase pupils starts on Tuesday 11th May until Thursday 10th June.
HPV immunisations will take place on 11th and 12th May. Those pupils still to return consent forms should do so by the end of this week.
S4 – S6
Senior phase pupil DTP/MenACWY immunisations will take place in late June. Consent packs will be issued as soon as we receive them and should be returned to school as soon as possible.
Any pupils participating in the voluntary self-testing programme can collect additional kits from their housegroup teacher or school nurse.
Finally we have attached below some information from the Highland Council which you may find helpful.
As some of you may be aware there are on-going discussions surrounding GME expansion within the City of Inverness. It is very important to have a local Comann nam Pàrant group to represent the voices and opinions of parents at the early stages of any new developments. The group is open to parents with children in Gaelic Medium Education from Pre-school to Secondary. We are looking for a group of parents who would be interested in joining the committee. Comann nam Pàrant officers will be supporting the local group to ensure that the parental voice is heard in any discussions. We would be looking to hold an online meeting during this term with the view of forming a committee. You will find further information on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram or on our website about the work that we do. If anyone would be interested in attending or would like more information, then I am more than happy to discuss further. – firstname.lastname@example.org
S2 Pupil’s Parents/Carers
All S2 pupils have been issued with their S3 Course Choice Form at registration today and have attended a special virtual assembly on how to fill in their option form, where they can get advice and when to submit the form (4th May 2021). Please see an example of the form and the course choice information booklet attached to this message. This booklet is very comprehensive as it gives advice on how to make these choices, what the course consist of and internet links. Guidance teachers will be discussing choices with pupils in the next 2 weeks and pupils have been encouraged to talk to their subject teachers to find out how they are doing in their subjects. Please read through the form and booklet with your child before they hand it in.
Consent packs are being sent out in school bags over the next few days for pupils invited for the HPV vaccine and a request to return the consent packs to schools within 7 days.
