Dear Parent/Carers,

This morning, Inverness Royal Academy received a safety threat via the school’s generic email account. Police were contacted and attended. 

The safety of our staff and pupils is our top priority, and the school was evacuated as a precaution. S1–S3 pupils have been sent home, and S5 and S6 pupils who had an exam this morning were moved to the Culdulthel Christian Centre.  

We would like to thank the staff and community at the CCC for their support.

The school is now open for pupils sitting their National 5 Geography and Cruinn-eolas exams only, and it will reopen to all pupils as normal tomorrow. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
