Message from UHI
Due to the yellow weather warning for Friday, 10 January, and the potential for hazardous conditions, the UHI Inverness campuses will be closed tomorrow.
All on-campus classes for Senior Phase students will be cancelled, and any scheduled online classes will happen as usual.
This will affect any pupils who are scheduled to attend classes at UHI Inverness campuses tomorrow. These pupils should attend their timetabled classes in school instead.
Due to heavy overnight snow and poor road conditions, the school will be closed today to all. No school transport is running. The safety of our pupils and staff comes first.
Save the Date!

Inverness Royal Academy would like to wish all parents, carers and pupils a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We look forward to seeing pupils back in school on Monday 6th January.
This holiday season, our amazing pupils have been busy spreading the gift of reading across the school! They’ve taken on the special task of interviewing staff to uncover their 2024 reading highlights and their goals for 2025. 📖✨
Our pupils then carefully selected a library book for each staff member to enjoy over the holiday break and have been busy distributing them this week. We can’t wait to hear about all the new adventures and stories the staff will dive into! 🌟📘
Happy reading, everyone! 🎅🎄📖 #readingschools

With over 100 impressive entries, our S6 prefects curated shortlists for each year group and local writer of Young Adult fiction, Laura Guthrie, was invited to select the final winners. 🏆 Each winning pupil received a certificate and some delicious Japanese treats. Well done to all participants!
