Well done to Imogen Mann and Emily Jack (both S4) who represented Inverness Royal Academy at the Scottish Schools Shooting Championships in Grangemouth.
This was Imogen's first competition and she achieved a personal best and finished in 4th place! Emily started her shooting career with the intention of completing the DofE Award and found a passion for the sport. Within 6 months of training she came away with Silver!
Amazing achievement for both girls.
Well done to our pupils Mia Williamson, Isla Donald, Gabi Beres, and Charlotte Rose McNeish for representing the school brilliantly at the annual Young Speakers Scotland St Andrew’s Day Debate in Edinburgh yesterday. Charlotte and Gabi debated really challenging motions, from whether mobile phones should be banned in schools to how the UK government should respond to Donald Trump. Congratulations to Isla Donald for being awarded the prize for best pupil judge, and for judging the evening final hosted by the Faculty of Advocates. Pupils interested in debating should speak to Mr Clarkson in RMPS.
Please see our updated prelim timetable following the school closure we had last week. The exams that were missed have been moved to Monday 2nd December.

This week we have been focusing on 'Hope' as a theme for National Book Week. Picking up on this theme, our school community have this week helped to give hope to people they will never meet by dispatching 50 shoeboxes to Blythswood!
Many thanks to everyone who either contributed an item for the boxes or donated £1 for Dress-Down-Day, or both. Without these, the boxes wouldn't happen. Special thanks to everyone who came in their own time to help wrap the boxes and to all the S6 pupils who helped to fill the boxes this week.
These 50 boxes will put a smile on the faces of 50 young teens for whom there would otherwise be nothing for them this Christmas.
A special mention must also go the wonderful Mrs Kish who organises the Blythswood Shoebox Appeal every year and spends so much of her personal time on this. We appreciate everything you do .
Thank you all for giving them the gift of Hope.
We have extended the closing date for completing our Parental Survey until Friday 29th November, to give as many parents as possible the chance to submit this. Thanks for taking the time to give us your feedback. Please complete the survey here.
