The team played some really good shinty against some strong opposition resulting in 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses. Each player played their part with a variety of goal scorers coupled with some defensive shutouts. Our player of the day was a tough decision taken narrowly by S1 debutant Johnny Stirling for his courageous goalkeeping display showing incredible hand eye coordination

S1 Outward Bound Residential Experience
Published 29/10/24⚠️DEADLINE FOR S1 SIGN-UP – Friday 1st November! ⚠️
S1 Residential at Outward Bound, Loch Eil
Do you want your child to improve their attainment, build their skills; boost their confidence; meet new people; get to know other members of their year group better and improve their team working skills!?
By participating in this residential experience along with their year group, your child will feel ready to take on future challenges, including the next chapter of their school career in the Junior Phase.
This is a fantastic opportunity for all pupils to be involved in a potentially life changing experience. We have already invested time with Outward Bound by taking a number of groups away in the past 6 years. The testimony of those pupils and the change we have witnessed in their self-esteem and interpersonal skills have convinced us of the benefits of this experience.
We are booked for the 17th -21st March 2025.
The normal cost of this residential tip would be around £550 but we have worked hard with Outward Bound to secure sponsorship bringing the cost down to £370 per student which is inclusive of all meals and equipment. A cheque for a £100 (non-refundable deposit) should accompany the initial permission slip by Friday 1st November this should be handed in to the school office. Final payment is due by December 16th .
Pupils were issued with information letters and permission slips at assembly last term, but a copy of the information letter can be collected from the school office.
