  • S3 Belgium Battlefields Trip - Spaces available

    Places are still available for our fantastic S3 Belgium Battlefields Trip! This is a very popular educational trip to the British/German war cemeteries and includes visits to Somme Battlefield and Flanders field to name but a few. The trip ends with a trip to Disneyland, Paris. The dates for the trip are 11th May - 17th May 2025. The proposed cost of the trip (if all spaces filled) would be £795.

    Day 1 and 2

    Visit to city of Ypres -British German war cemeteries and ceremony, Flanders field and Passchendaele museums.

    DAY 3 and 4

    Somme Battlefield- Thiepval memorial , British/French/Canadian sites and then Disneyland, Paris.

    ScotRail Apprenticeship Information Session   

    This year, ScotRail are offering a fantastic opportunity for young people to join their teams, with a range of different apprenticeships ranging from Engineering Maintenance, System Field Engineer, Customer Service and Administration.   

    The Workforce Development team are hosting online information sessions where you can discover more about ScotRail Apprenticeships.  

    The one-hour session will cover: 

    • Learn about ScotRail and our apprenticeship opportunities  
    • What life looks like as an apprentice at ScotRail 
    • The application process  
    • Ask questions to our Workforce Development Team.

    Option choices webinar for parents and carers of S1 to S3 pupils, Thursday 5 December, 6.30pm

    Skills Development Scotland are hosting a free webinar on Thursday 5 December, 6:30 to 7:30pm for parents and carers of S1 to S3 pupils on option choices.

    This session will give information about the support SDS offer at option choice time, as well as highlighting questions and information young people should consider when making these important decisions. We will also highlight additional SDS resources available to support parents and carers and young person at this time.

    This webinar will be hosted live on Microsoft Teams.

  • S2 MidYIS Assessments

    S2 pupils will be taking part in MidYIS assessment on Monday 9th December. MidYIS is very similar to SNSA assessments, in that it is a diagnostic tool to help us identify the progress pupils are making and allows us to plan learning and teaching more effectively. Pupils do not need to revise or prepare and there is no pass or fail. More information here

  • Scottish Schools Shooting Championship

    Well done to Imogen Mann and Emily Jack (both S4) who represented Inverness Royal Academy at the Scottish Schools Shooting Championships in Grangemouth. ⭐️⭐️

    This was Imogen's first competition and she achieved a personal best and finished in 4th place! Emily started her shooting career with the intention of completing the DofE Award and found a passion for the sport. Within 6 months of training she came away with Silver!

    Amazing achievement for both girls. 👏⭐️🏆
