While much has changed, the hills themselves remain little altered, as do the reasons people visit them. Reviewing his collections of vivid essays and diary entries, Cameron shines the light of experience on memory, and renews his vision, keen to share his insights with those who love Scotland’s outdoors. He raises awareness of unresolved conservation issues and rejoices in the opportunities now available for young people.
