Road Conditions – Foyers, Whitebridge, Dores

We have been in touch with Highland Council Buses regarding the current road conditions.  Currently the roads to Whitebridge and Foyers are closed due to landslip and/or flooding, and the road to Dores is badly impacted by flooding.  The bus operators are hopeful that they can transport pupils from school to Dores by using minibuses.  However, they are not hopeful that the road conditions will improve for taking pupils to Whitebridge or Foyers.  At this stage we have been asked to inform families to begin making provisions for families to contact their Inverness city contact.  Families that travel in from outside Inverness city would have nominated a contact of this kind on enrolment.  We would ask parents to make alternative arrangements to either pick up their child (if safe to do so) or make arrangements for their child to be picked up, and to stay with relatives or emergency contacts in Inverness.  Staff will remain in school with pupils until confirmation of these arrangement are received.
