“Dragon’s Den” tourism challenge

Our Geography Department, in partnership with Visit Inverness Loch Ness and Developing the Young Workforce (DYW), took part in an exciting “Dragon’s Den” tourism challenge this term!
Yesterday, our six finalist S2 teams presented their creative new tourism ideas to a panel of judges from Visit Inverness Loch Ness, Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, the Loch Ness Centre and Mrs Neil. The judges were extremely impressed with the pupils’ creativity, teamwork, presentation skills and entrepreneurial thinking.
A huge well done to our winning teams, who received fantastic prizes generously donated by our partners:
🥇 1st place – Belladrum Festival Tickets:
Rachel & Layla, who wowed everyone with their Inverness Christmas Market concept for Inverness
(Prize donated by Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival)
🥈 2nd place – Tickets to The Gathering:
Freya and Natalia with their Pinecone Wildlife Park idea for Muir of Ord
(Prize donated by Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival)
🥉 3rd place – Tickets to the Loch Ness Centre & gift vouchers:
Ava, Niamh, Lily and Nicola with their imaginative version of Nessie Land
(Prizes donated by the Loch Ness Centre & DYW)
We are incredibly grateful to our panel of judges not only for giving up their time to support this event and inspire our young people, but also for their generous and exciting prizes, which made the experience even more special.
